What basic rights should all workers expect?

What basic rights should all workers expect? All employees should expect to be treated fairly and in a nondiscriminatory manner.  However, employees are not permitted a free speech right at work in a place of private nongovernment employment. Freedom of speech is available in the government employment sector within a narrow context.  All employees are free from retaliation for blowing the whistle and complaining about discrimination against themselves or coworkers. All employees are entitled to work in a safe workplace and are entitled to workers compensation if they become injured on the job.  All employees are entitled to minimum wages and overtime compensation.  All employees are entitled to family medical leave, if they qualify. All employees who are disabled are entitled to reasonable accommodations related to their work and their disability.
