Elizabeth Swedock
Managing Attorney &
Employment Law Attorney
I’ve been a litigator since 2009 and I’ve worked in a variety of practice areas, but always had a focus in employment law. I love what I do. Clients who come to us are often facing one of the most difficult, trying, emotional, and frustrating experiences of their lives. Many have suffered under the stress of a bad workplace for years, sometimes decades. It’s extraordinarily rewarding to assist people and to help them find solutions and a better path, both for themselves and their families.
In our practice, we are always focused on client goals. Much of the time, this means avoiding litigation whenever possible and seeking both positive and cost-effective resolutions. We help our clients make informed choices by taking the time to explain legal options, and what the possible outcomes of each are. Every legal situation is unique in some way, and a big part of our job is creating an individualized strategy for every client and every case.
Sometimes, however, the path of least resistance doesn’t produce the results we want. When that happens, we never hesitate to engage in litigation. I am an experienced trial attorney, in both Connecticut and New York, state and federal courts.
I’m originally from Connecticut and currently live in Norwalk. Prior to joining Carey & Associates, P.C., I was an associate with Kelley Drye & Warren LLP in Stamford, Connecticut, and focused my practice on general litigation, including employment law, complex commercial contracts, and business disputes.
